The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity. I had this record in my wishlist for ages (probably since it came out) and I never listened to it, as with most of the stuff that ends in my wishlist. Then at some point I had a chance to see them live and finally listened to it for some time before the gig. I thought the band was a bit cold. Still, the riffs are there and the sound too. And it was a nice show anyway! I'm curious to see where this band is heading! Support them!
